3 Art Walls in Wynwood to Visit this Summer in Miami, FL!

IT’S SUMMER TIME! ☀️

3 New Art Walls in Wynwood Art District:

Coming from a Native Floridian who lives on the west coast of the state in Naples, I travel to Miami a little too often. (As one should!) Miami is mainly known for South Beach, which is nice if you’re looking for more of a tropical atmosphere. But the GEM many haven’t discovered in Miami is the Wynwood Art District.

It’s probably the closest hipster area to Austin filled with modern art galleries, art murals, the dopest coffee shops, boutiques and so much nightlife! If you’re looking for some GREAT-Instagrammable content…you may want to keep reading because I’ve put the exact location of where you can find 3 new art walls in Wynwood along with details of my OOTD which might come in handy with our weather!

BTW, are you following me on Instagram yet? If not, follow me here! 🤗

This wall literally looks like a cauliflower-flower tattoo drawn on a huge chalkboard, doesn’t it? I was obsessed as soon as I laid my eyes on it. The coolest thing about Wynwood is you’ll see art like this in every corner. Like this one, located at the corner of NW 24th st and NW 2nd ave at the Shinola store. Trust me, I wasn’t the only one taking photos at this time, its always packed!

This wall is perfect for a bright and colorful outfit, like mine! Located at the corner of NW 23rd st and NW 1st pl…this street offers some of the dopest hot spots like El Patio (nightlife) and a delicious lunch spot called the Butter shop.

So, for anyone who is interested in something other than travel and being a foodie…I have some ootd tips when being in Wynwood!

  1. Wear comfortable shoes. I’ve been such a sneaker head lately- obsessed with these Cole Haan shoes that can be worn anywhere, anytime.
  2. Cotton or Linen. All the way, all day. Unless you want to be drenched in sweat. I’m not even kidding, the humidity here is insane! Thats why I wore a over-sized cotton shirt to keep me as cool as possible.
  3. Pack light. If you are traveling, please leave all suitcases and large backpacks in your car. Wynwood is an all-day walking around type of place 🙂 A small cross-body is all you need.
  4. Why am I accessorizing with a windbreaker? Well, if you’re from Florida…you’re cold ALL.THE.TIME. Especially in the A.C. And Wynwood is known to blast their A.C. It was lightweight so perfect for coffee shops or restaurants.

I’ve been more on the sporty side lately. I love the on-the-go feeling. Especially when traveling, you’ll always catch me looking a little “edgy.” So even though this outfit might not be considered to be hardcore fashionable, it definitely felt like it.

Last but not least, the pink wall. It’s actually on the same street as the white mural. You cannot go wrong with pink! I hope you enjoyed this travel/fashion post. I would love to know if you found it helpful, if you have any questions please let me know :) I can’t wait to see all of your photos! Don’t forget to tag me on Insta @monicapramos_

Enjoy Wynwood,

Until next time

Art Basel Fashion

Hello From Miami!

This past weekend was Miami Art Week aka Art Basel, only the most prominent art event to be held throughout the year! Everyone from Kylie Jenner and their momma was in Miami this week so check out the street look I put together!

Like any major metropolitan area, Miami is known for its people to be stylish and since this was an art event in a Tropical area so here’s what I wore:

Outfit Details:

Jeans: Neiman Marcus

Crop Top: Papaya

Bomber Jacket: Charlotte Russe

Shoes: H&M

Purse: Forever 21

Now, I know what you’re thinking…why would she wear a jacket? Let me be the first to inform you that although the weather is perfect year round here, Floridians tend to get cold indoors and let me tell you…those galleries can get chilly.

Art Basel takes over Miami in early December- from Miami Beach to Wynwood I’ve put some pics I took with some of my favorite pieces. (If you’d like to see more of my favorite pieces check out my previous post.)

That’s a wrap! If you’ve never been to Art Basel I 100% recommend you do it once in your lifetime. It’s a week filled with modern art, beautiful people, high fashion, music, great food and all around good vibes. Check out my Instagram for more photos on my 2016 Art Basel experience!

Until next time,

Peace, love & blessings to you and your fam.

Xoxo

Perfect Florida weather calls for a weekend in Miami. By that I mean, photos + Wynwood! The Miami Art District holds one of Miami’s most prominent scenes: Wynwood. Known for its art murals, hipster shops and craft made food and beer…Wynwood is definitely a must see when in Miami.

I had seen a few pictures on Pinterest with this exact wall – I’m obsessed because 1. I love stripes and 2. Who doesn’t love black & white? I made it my personal mission to find this wall. Turned out, this is an entire building with this pattern. How flattering!

Miami, FL weather in the first few weeks of November are heavenly. It’s still warm enough to be in shorts with a light breeze.

That’s why I decided these black Denim x Midi shorts from American Eagle were perfect. Originally $50, I received 40% off by shopping at Miromar Outlets.

This faded-like olive cami is from Forever 21 ($23) one of my favorite items in my closet!

TRENDING: Oversized Sweaters & Over-The-Knee Boots

unnamed-10

Pairing an oversized sweater with over-the-knee boots is my absolute favorite fall look. It’s cute, comfy and effortless. Believe it or not, this BCBG Maxaria & Saks Off Fifth Look was only $200!

I found the perfect pair of navy blue-suede boots from BCBG Maxaria at Miromar Outlets ($120 – originally $200) during their Columbus Day weekend sale. It is a trend of this season and a must have in your closet. As I was taking my photos for this post, I had people stop and ask where I got my boots from, I said to myself “Wow, I’m really glad I chose this color.” I typically tend to stick to my blacks & neutrals – this color, is so UNIQUE the BCBG staff wouldn’t let me go with the black #GoodCall.

A cute cross-body bag is a perfect accessory for this outfit. Also, purchased at BCBG Maxaria – this bag was only ($36 – originally $60). This snake embossed navy blue cross body is so CLUTCH and is a great color to wear with any outfit this Fall.

My cold shoulder-oversized sweater is from Saks Off Fifth ($40) which I’m obsessed with. The cut of this sweater is so modern and stylish – to be worn on a nice day out or night out, giving you the ultimate comfort.

As a Native Floridian, I will tell you – rain, shine or humidity…true fashionistas will always pull out their fall attire during the “cold months” of the year. I hope this look has inspired you to invest in a nice pair of boots and perhaps and even an oversized sweater to find out how fab you’ll look and feel. You’re welcome in advance 🙂

Happy October & Happy Fall!

I’d love to know your thoughts on this look!

Until next time,

Peace, love & blessings.

Wynwood Street Style

FullSizeRenderIf you’re ever in Miami, FL and want to do something a little less South Beachy, I would suggest visiting Miami’s Art District. The ever so popular Wynwood – specifically speaking. It’s the perfect place to walk around, shop at local boutiques, and eat good. I mean really good. Miami’s Wynwood is similar to New York’s Brooklyn “hipster” scene. Filled with endless streets of art murals and all the modern art you can imagine. Continue reading “Wynwood Street Style”
