Latest & Greatest from Little Ol’ Me

More than halfway through 2017. Absolutely nothing has gone as planned…and I am truly the happiest I’ve ever been. There’s a saying that says, “everything happens for a reason” and quite frankly, I’ve been finding purpose behind every challenge I’ve face thus far, this year.

I took a short break from blogging, not because I wanted to (I love writing, sharing awesome experiences in cute outfits I mean, common…what girl doesn’t) but because I have been focused on much bigger goals for myself and my future that I can’t share just yet – but will very shortly love to!

One positive thing I will share is an amazing opportunity that was presented to me by Naples Daily News (our Naples local newspaper) and USA Today. On MONDAY August 28th, I will be sharing all that can be done in Naples, FL with only $100. This is going to be great exposure for me, and I am truly honored and beyond thankful that I was selected for such a great project.

On the other hand, now that summer is coming to an end, I wanted to share the last blog post I was SUPPOSED to be sharing until my life really got hectic. I haven’t even shared any of my Mexico trip details, I was there for nearly 2 weeks!

This was shot in one of my favorite places in Miami, The Design District. Fashion is art, so I was happy to hear all of the great feedback when I was walking around to take photos. I’m glad other people notice I have an eye for things! I paired this funky, back & white Victoria Beckham skirt with a bikini top.

Trust me, you would have been in a bathing suit it was SO hot! This is a typical Miami pool party ootd. Gals usually like to add some style even though they will be poolside, which I love! The whole shabang, hair, make-up & heels.

I have so much more to share! Please follow me on Instagram to be up to date with the latest and greatest going on in my little world! God bless you all ❤

What to Expect on Your First Time Getting Eyelash Extensions

FullSizeRender 68Eyelash extensions have gradually grown become the new trend since lip fillers. If you have never gotten lash extensions, I’ve put all the deets on everything you need to know before booking an appointment. Everyone from Kylie Jenner to myself, to an executive business woman has found having lash extensions much more convenient and here’s why…

Convenience: The first reason us gals like to have extensions on our lashes is because it  saves a lot of time from our morning routine. No mascara needed. You are ready to be on-the-go everyday.

Cost: I know so many people who think lashes are way too expensive but that’s really not the case. There are great places like Amazing Lash Studio who have a great full set lash price of only $80 compared to others who start at $150. They have so many locations across the U.S so be sure to look one up near you!

How it feels: Be aware, that you will need to have your eyes closed for about 1 to 2 hours depending on your lash stylist’s experience. That was very uncomfortable for me at first. Especially when it came to the lash stylist taping a gel pad they place under your eye. I found that relaxing was just the best way to get through it and now I don’t even think about it!

The Experience: I think the environment and setting of the lash studio you go to, matters. Amazing Lash does it so well! Check out their waiting room, isn’t it gorgeous? This is what makes them unique, I’ve never seen a lash studio so well put together. Not only that but my lash stylist, Liana, educated me on how to maintain the lashes after we’ve left the studio. Typically you’re supposed to have them done every 2 weeks.

Here is a close up of my after pic…(Did you know eyelash extension appointments = free naps? I had just woken up from mine as you can probably tell)

One of my favorite things about lash extensions is how beautiful you look without makeup! Thank you so much for reading. Follow me on Instagram @monicapramos_ to to see more of my eyelash extension experiences!

Summer’s Go-To Trend: Rompers

Happy June! We have OFFICIALLY made it to halfway through the year, guys… The start to every new month gives me the best feeling about pretty much everything except Florida’s heat. That’s why you can find me in cotton made rompers at anytime I’m not at work.

Rompers are my FAVORITE because you can wear it to the beach as a cover-up, on a Saturday afternoon and even at night! Florida plays no games when it comes to heat and humidity which is why I chose this one by Forever 21. Its lightweight, sleeveless and has a striped print that never goes out of style – did I mention, comfortable? Wearing white is also always a good idea during summertime because it helps keeps you cool.

This month for me is a time for lots of planning. I have a few trips this summer/fall and I am very excited to share them with you all, so follow my Instagram @monicapramos_

Talk to you all soon!

How I got my Hair Feeling Healthier than Ever

Question for you: Have you ever colored your hair? More than once? Like millions women, the answer to that is yes. Whether you’ve  gotten highlights, balayge, ombre or color applied to your hair it is not uncommon for it to leave some sort of damage to your hair. HOWEVER, I bring good news and a very recommended solution!

labiosthetique-5

I met Rocio Elisa at O’Coffiure Petite Salon & Boutique who suggested an exclusive hair care line to the Southwest Florida area called La Biosthetique. Now, just so you are aware, this hair studio is not your ordinary hair salon. Instead, they like to describe O’Coffiure as a place where they pamper their clients like no other, offering what they’re know for: hair repair treatments.

Rocio and I went through the entire process which I’ve put together just for you:

labiosthetique-1

This was me before my treatment. (The REASON my hair looks like a disaster is because I had been shooting for another blog out in the Florida humidity and had put my hair up) Yes…this is me fully exposed.

First, La Biosthetique has a testing tool where they test how dry or oily your scalp is as well as if and how much dandruff you have. Once the structural damage is identified, you’ll be able to determine which treatment is best for you. They also perform a hair strengthen test where they grab a strand of hair and pinch from the root between every few inches, if the hair bends that means it needs damage and needs repair. A healthy hair should straighten out.

labiosthetique-6

I was more on the oily side so we used a dry shampoo for me.

We then applied a “recibios” treatment very thoroughly. This is what repairs the frizzy, and brittle hair. It provided the hair with fatty substances to replace and restore stylabilty to pores and dry hair.

Active ingredients: Castor oil, ephoxylated castor oil, essential oil, and terpenol mixture.

We wrapped my hair without using any heat to dry. In the meantime, I was pampered with a hand massage scrub along with eyelid patch (anti-aging) gel liftants.

labiosthetique-11

We rinsed my hair and blow dryed…

Voila! It really was a surprise to me how SOFT and healthy my hair felt. It felt like virgin hair! Rocio recommends at least 3 treatments which can cost anywhere from $40-$85 depending on the length of your hair. So, call Rocio to give your hair some love. Her cell is: (239) 963-7678. Tell her I referred you too 🙂

Until next time!

Back To School Lookbook

IMG_2053It’s that time of the year again! I decided to put my first lookbook together in honor of back to school. I’m very excited to share this with you! All of these looks express my personal style of how I would go to school, depending on my mood of course.

I present: The TomboyThe Girly Girl, the bohemian, and The Girl Next Door look.

Whenever you’re in a sporty mood, kicks are where you want to start with putting your outfit together. The red camo Nikes gave my tomboy look an edgy feel ($50). I wore a black F21 turtleneck crop top ($15) and paired it with these H&M olive pants ($20). I added a F21 jean jacket ($30) and a Herschel backpack ($40). I would wear something like this on a day where I’m not wanting so spend a lot of time on how I look.

I know what you’re thinking…that font reminds me of PLL (Pretty Little Liars) Lol, I promise it was not on purpose. I love me a good ole’ casual dress with a great cut…you know – the kind of dress that makes you feel comfortable yet beautiful. This is an everyday outfit that can be completed by simply adding a statement necklace.

For days when you are wanting to look cute, but not feeling like putting much effort into (which is how I feel almost EVERY day) – go with an oversized shirt. Works WONDERS. I’m aware classrooms are almost always cold – hence the scarf. If I could describe this look in one word…effortless.

The one girl who everyone admires for her modesty. I wore my favorite smoky black jeans from Zara ($40) a scarlet colored casual tank, an olive army jacket and some tan wedges. This is also appropriate for a casual college night out, or even Sunday brunch.

I can relate my personality to each of these different looks, as I’m sure you can too! Working full time and going to school part-time can be a struggle, so I 100% understand how spending hours on getting ready might not be a priority.  I hope these looks were helpful to put something quick and cute together! If you’re in school whether its middle school, high school, or college I wish you a great semester. Just don’t focus too much on getting an A+ on your style…get them grade A’s in formation!

Stay Tuned for my Labor Day Weekend Outfit post next! And also, my NYC lookbook! I’ll be traveling to the big apple tomorrow so be sure to follow me on the gram, snap, etc.

Thank you for reading. Until next time…peace love & blessings.

The Sunday Brunch Outfit

IMG_1764

Brunch is a must on weekends. After a long week, we may want to go out and have some fun with our friends, am I right? Typically, a night like that results in sleeping in the next day and keeping the good vibes going with some good old fashioned comfort food. Continue reading “The Sunday Brunch Outfit”

10 Things You Need To Know About Balayage

I can’t even begin to tell you how many women I know that long for having a beautiful ashy blonde balayage, especially Latinas – like myself. Over the past two years, I have learned a lot of information that I KNOW will be helpful if you’re ever considering balayge. I recently found a local salon to call home, Blue Water Salon in Naples, FL exceeded my color correction expectations (Follow my Instagram for more photos: monicapramos_). I thought this would be the perfect time to give you a breakdown of the 10 basic things you need to know about Balayge. Continue reading “10 Things You Need To Know About Balayage “
